Vegas, baby, Vegas!

After waking up to a very cold morning in Bryce Canyon on Friday, I spent the mid-day driving through the mountains to get to Las Vegas, where it's about 100 degrees.  I'm staying with my friend Jordan, who was a geology undergrad with me a few years back.  We've had a great time catching up, and being amused by her many animals...

She's actually taking care of the rabbit for a friend, but currently has two cats and a dog of her own.

Today we ate lunch at a sandwich shop near campus and then headed down the strip...

After walking through the Bellagio, we stood and watched the show at the Fountains.  This one was themed to "All That Jazz" from Chicago, and was pretty entertaining.

We also walked through Caesar's Palace and did a little shopping.

The casinos are all pretty grand, although I haven't done any gambling yet.  Maybe I'll play some slots when we go back down to the strip later tonight just to say I did.

Tomorrow morning I'll try to post some pictures of the strip at night.  For now, I'm off to eat some dinner!
